Until the 1980s, most floor finishers used oil-based products to bring out a wooden floor’s classic good looks. Leese Flooring Supplies was a growing business when water-based finishes became a popular option. As with all the products we stock, we made it a point to learn as much as we could about water based finishes for hardwood floors. We’re always ready to share what we know.

Water-based finishes are relatively new floor finishing technology. They are suitable for commercial buildings and private residences. They’re an ideal option when your application and final finish must comply with Connecticut’s volatile organic compound guidelines (VOC).

Water based finishes are the right choice when you prefer an easier application with minimal disruption to your customer’s day. They offer a number of benefits over oil-based finishes.

As with every product Leese sells, we back our finishes with strong customer service. We send out UPS shipping-compliant products Monday through Friday. When you order before 1:00 pm, they leave our location on the same day.

In Connecticut and Massachusetts, we can include your finishes in our regular delivery runs. If you pick them up in our showroom, a member of our team will greet you with a smile. We’re always ready to answer any questions you have about our products.
